  1. How do I place an order for an artwork or a jacket?
    You can place an order directly through my website or by contacting me via email.
    For original artwork please contact me first via the contact form so I can provide you more information about the size, the story, and pricing.
  2. Do you also make artwork based on my favourite shirt (or other clothing, fabrics)?
    Yes, I can create artwork based on the patterns or designs of your favourite shirt or other fabrics. I have a secret love for shirt and the stories it tells. So please share your favourite piece and story with me!
  3. Are your original artworks always based on shirts? And is the shirt always included with the original artwork?
    No! While some of my original artworks are inspired by shirts, I also let my creative imagination run wild with unique ideas. These pieces often feature my characteristic 'Caro shapes', which will be clearly indicated in the artwork description. However, in line with my concept, when you purchase an original artwork, you'll always receive either the matching shirt or a customized denim jacket tailored just for you!
  4. Are your jackets unisex, and how do I determine the correct size?
    Yes, most of my jackets are unisex, depending on the style you prefer. The size of each model is always included on the product page for reference. If you need more information about the specifications or sizing of the jackets, please don't hesitate to contact me. I have a keen eye for sizes and can assist you in choosing the right fit for your style. Additionally, we offer a very flexible return policy, so you can order a jacket and return it for free if it doesn't suit you.
  5. Is there a place were I can come so I can fit different jackets?
    You are always welcome to visit my studio in Ghent to try on the jackets. Please fill out the contact form on my website to schedule an appointment. Additionally, I will organise fitting sessions on certain days. Stay updated on those events by subscribing on my newsletter or through social media.
  6. Can I request a specific design or customization for an artwork or a jacket?
    Yes ! I am passionate about storytelling and would love to hear the story behind your favourite shirt (or other clothing). I can create an artwork inspired by it and customize a denim jacket with the artwork just for you, making it a truly personal project.
    Otherwise you have the option to choose from the four artworks currently available - provide me your own specifications (style, size, artwork, pattern, etc).
  7. What materials do you use for the jackets?
    I take great care in selecting high-quality vintage jackets from brands like Levi’s, Lee Cooper, Arket Official, and Marlboro Classics. For fabrics, I source them from House of U, a Dutch company known for sustainable printing. Their colors are incredibly vivid and realistic. Once I have the jackets and fabrics, I decide which fabric complements each jacket and which part of the jacket will showcase my artwork. Using my sewing machine, I carefully patch everything together. This process requires several hours of precise work to ensure the highest quality.
  8. What is the turnaround time for custom orders?
    For original artwork based on your favorite shirt, the turnaround time will be determined based on ongoing projects. Let's have a chat to discuss timelines. As for customized jackets, the process typically takes one to two weeks, depending on the availability of the right jacket in my stock.
    If you already have a favorite jacket, you can bring it to me, and the production process will take 3 to 5 days.
  9. Do you offer international shipping?
    Yes, we offer international shipping to select countries. at the moment you can directly order from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands, with a free charge of shippings for orders over €280. Otherwise the shipping cost is €11.50.
  10. What is your return policy for artwork and jackets?
    For the jackets I have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can contact me at hello@art-by-caro.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label within 1 - 3 days, and instructions on how and where to send your package. The costs of the return shipping will be covered by me.
    For the original paintings there will be no return policy - since we together discussed the purchase of the artwork.
  11. Can I wash the jackets with the artwork on them?
    Yes, definitely! The jackets are already washed one time after tailoring them. The fabric used are from a high quality so they are resisted to a washing machine.
